Well trained in Greek philosophy, Saint Justin encountered
Christian Revelation and was converted to Christianity in 132. Filled with
ardor he soon began preaching with great conviction. In Rome, he was
denounced as a subversive and condemned to death by beheading. Before his martyrdom Justin was asked by the Roman
prefect, "Do you think that by dying you will enter heaven and be rewarded
by God?" Justin answered, "I do not think. I know.”
