Thomas answered and said to him, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed." John 20
Jesus does not reproach Thomas but invites
him to touch his wounds and believe. We too long to see and touch
Jesus. The wounded members of his body are his tangible presence in our
midst now. When we reach out to them with our compassion and charity, we
too can see and believe.
